STUDENT's ACHIEVEMENTS

Ms. Mubeena Sheikh of T.Y.B.Sc.
Physics showed an outstanding performance at National
Graduate examination a qualifier for getting admission
to reputed institutions for higher studies, only 54 out
of 5205 students qualified the examination .

Ms. Sharenya of T Y B Com. Successfully
qualified the CAT entrance exam, attaining 99 percentile
score, making her eligible to join the prestigious IIM
at Bangalore

Special Appreciation Award 2007-08
: This year the college has given a special appreciation
prize to two very special students, Mr. Bharat Gajaria
and Mr. Shripad Raghunathan of T.Y.B.Com. Born
with cerebral Palsy, they proved that no challenge or
limitation was great enough to stop them from achieving
their dreams. They have completed their graduation with
Ist Class

In the University Youth Fest 2007-08
our students have bagged prizes in different
events at the zonal round.

received 2nd prize in Classical
Dance.

T.Y.B.M.M. got 3rd prize in Elocution.

of T.Y.B.M.M. got 3rd prize in Instrumental.

and Swathi of F.Y.B.M.M. got 3rd
prize in Debate.

Shivangi Satpute
of T.Y.B.A. received 2nd prize in
Semi Classical Music in Final Round
of Youth Fest and will receive 10
grace marks.

received Consolation Prize in Classical
Dance in the Final Round of Youth
Fest.

At Inter-Collegiate level :
- Malhar : Chrisel Fonseca and Vijay Krishnan
Iyer of T.Y.B.M.M. received 1st prize in Mythological
Quiz which was a very tough competition.
- Hindustan Times Youth Nexus : Our College
Band (Ab Tak Kahan The) received 2nd prize in
Hindustan Times Youth Nexus.
- Radio - 1 College Band : Our College
Band composed and recorded a jingle for this FM
Channel. This is regularly played on this channel.
- Apart from the above mentioned events our college
students participated at several inter-collegiate
cultural competitions throughout the year and
received several prizes.
- In the academic arena three students won laurels for the
college this year. While Mr.Alhad Ketkar stood 'First' among
all successful candidates in the M. Sc. Part-II Microbiology
examination held by University of Mumbai in March 2006,
Miss Badmotha Harjinder acquired the 'Second' position in
the T.Y.B.Sc. (Chemistry) examination held by the University
of Mumbai in March 2006. Ms. Harini Dhamodaran acquired
the 'Sixth' position in the order of merit for the TYBA
(Psychology) examination held in March 2006.
The college also made considerable achievements in extra-curricular
activities at the zonal, state and national level. At the
Invitational State Level Karate Championship 2005 for Maharashtra
held on 20th & 21st August, Mr. Subhas Das (T.Y.B.A.)
won a gold medal and Mr. Aftab Ayub (T.Y.B.A.) and Mr. Pankaj
Chandelia (T.Y.B.Com.) won a silver medal each. At the State
Level Karate Championship 2005 held at Mumbai on 12th and
13th November, Mr. Mayur S. Bansode (T.Y.B.A.) won two gold
medals. He also won four more gold medals at other state
level competitions held at Mumbai and Amritsar in Punjab.
He also won the silver medal in the First Inter-collegiate
Karate Competition organized by the University of Mumbai.
Mr. Brijesh Yadav (F.Y.B.Sc.) won the I Prize in the Marathon
- run organized by North East Mumbai District Youth Congress,
Chembur on 6th January 2006. He also won the III Prize in
the Mumbai - Marathon organized by Standard Chartered on
15th January 2006. At the Mumbai zone A. d. Shroff Memorial
Inter-collegiate Elocution competition, Mr. Jishnu Debnath
won the third prize of Rs. 3,000/-.
With continued cooperation from all angles, the college
expects similar achievements in the next academic year also.

Ms. Prajakta Oak stood first in the University
of Mumbai examination for M.Sc. (Microbiology) by papers
in the year 2004 -05.

Mr. Jishnu Debnath of S.Y.B.Sc.- IT won
the 3rd prize of Rs.3000/- at the 41st A.D.Shroff Intercollegiate
ElocutionCompetition organized by Forum of Free Enterprise
and sponsored by S.B.I. on 26th January, 2006 at the Indian
Merchant Chamber.

Dr. (Mrs.) Suniti Nagpurkar (HOD of
Economics Department) received a prize from our Ex. Prime
Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee for competition organized
by WTI on Manufacturing Sector in 2003.
