His area of interest is theoretical Physics, especially Astrophysics, General Relativity and Properties of materials. He is also interested in Computational Techniques applied to Physics problems. He has been actively involved in Talent Nurture Program in the college and Indian Physics Olympiad training program. Awarded UGC research grant for the project on "Computational study of material properties" for 2006-2007
Served on NCERT review and editing committee for revising class XI Physics textbooks.
