The BMM course at VES does not merely imply a Bachelors of Mass Media, but holds a stronger, vital connotation, i.e., Backbone of Media Management. At VES BMM, the student's organizational abilities, presentation skills & intellectual orientations are moulded. Providing them with an amalgamation of theoretical knowledge coupled with industrial visits, interactive discussions, thought provoking debates & panel discussions, we take them to the pinnacle of success! Every step proves to be a learning curve for them.

The course conducts quest lecturers at regular intervals, some of which have been Mr. Mahalingam for Press Laws & Advertising, Mr. Yogesh Pawar from NDTV, Mr. Savio (RJ), Mr. Kurup working with Business Line - delivered a lecture on stock market, Mr. Rayomand Patell (working as a Copywriter with Lintas & currently associated with Contract Advertising Agency) conducted a workshop on copywriting, Mr. Abhijeet on Press Release (PG in Mass Communication from IMS.)

Teaching faculty includes one full time and many visiting faculties for Bachelors of Mass Media.

SPARKING FEATURES OF THE DEPARTMENT :

  1. IMPRESSIONS
    An event, which is a combination of intellectual themes along with some fun & folic. It incorporates seminars, workshops, panel discussions, all related to the different organs of the media industry. The other area of Impressions throws light on sports like Box Cricket, Tug of War, and War of DJs CA Musical Evening.

    At Impressions, some of the most renowned media personalities have marked their presence. For eg., Famous directors like Tanuja Chandra, Sudhir Mishra, Saurav Narang, actors like Raj Kalra; ad models like Vivek Madan; photographer Shashi Nair; journalists from TOI & Indian Express; RJ Savio; Film Critic Mayank ; serial models like Shoma Anand; Musical Bands like Aasma & a lot more.

  2. RAAGA
    The Indian Musical Group, a 3 / 4 hour event is a platform for the students to display their skills & talents. Raaga is purely an event, which showcases the rich & diverse culture of our country; in terms of dance, music, poems, etc. The main aim of Raaga is the funding of a noble, social cause, i.e., money collected by & from the students.

  3. GOONJ
    The in-house (Journalism) quarterly publication is a student's effort, which comprises of socially relevant & investigative articles, editorials, quizzes, crosswords, etc.
