Scheme of Examination

  1. Theory paper Max Marks = 100
  2. Practical / Tutorial = 50 (25 marks internal assessment and 25 marks external assessment in case of practical and 50 marks internal assessment in case of tutorial)
  3. In case of tutorials, a minimum of 5-problems have to be assigned, each assessed for 10 marks.
  4. Semester six has a project work of 250 marks. The assessment of the project work is as under :-
    1. 2 Presentations of 50 marks each during the semester (Total 100 marks)
    2. At the end of the semester, assessment will be as follows :-
      1. for the report 50 marks
      2. presentation 50 marks
      3. viva-voce 50 marks Total 150 marks.

R 4411 - Passing Standards

  1. A student is said to have passed if he / she secures 40% of marks allotted in each head of passing. Theory of 100 marks and (TW / Practical / Tutorial of 50 marks) are treated as separate heads of passing.
  2. A student is said to have passed a Semester if he / she passes in all heads of passing of the semester.
  3. A student is eligible to be admitted to Semester II irrespective of Number of heads of failure in the First Semester.
  4. A student is eligible for admission to Semester III if either the student passes Semester I & II

    OR

    The student fails in a combination of Theory and/or Practical taken in Semester I or Semester II or together where the total marks does not exceed 200.
  5. A student is eligible for admission to Semester IV irrespective of Number of heads of failure in Semester III. However, the student has to clear Semester I and II, in order to appear for Semester IV examination.
  6. A student is eligible for admission to Semester V if either the student passes Semester III and IV

    OR

    The student fails in a combination of Theory and/or Practical taken in Semester III or Semester IV or together, where the total marks does not exceed 200.
  7. A student is eligible for admission to Semester VI irrespective of Number of heads of failure in Semester V. The results of VI should be kept in abeyance until the student clears Semesters III, IV and V in full.
  8. The class is awarded Semester wise for Semesters I, II, III & IV. However, Semesters V and VI will be taken together for award of class i.e. in final year.

    l Award of class is based on first attempt and all papers given in the same sitting.
    l Students passing in parts will be awarded Pass class irrespective of the cumulative percentage of marks.
Verification of Marks :

  1. There is a facility of obtaining Photo/Zerox copy/ies of assessed and / or moderated answer book/s by the examinee/s.
  2. The Photo/Zerox copy/ies shall be supplied on the payment of non-refundable fess of Rs. 100/- per answer book which shall have to be paid by the examinee/s and 50% concession for reserve category examinees.
  3. On receipt of Photo/Zerox copy/ies of desired answer book/s, if the examinee is not satisfied with the marks awarded to him/her by the original examiner or in accordance with relevant Ordinance he/she may apply for redressal of grievance to the College/Institution in the prescribed form, challenging the valuation done.
  4. The prescribed application form duly filled in shall be submitted with a fee of Rs. 250/- per paper to the respective College/Institution and 50% concession for reserve categories.
  5. The Redressal Committee, so constituted, shall verify the original answer book/s and evaluate the mark/s allotted to the answer/s in the light of the reasons of grievance and the points of challenge to valuation, put down by the applicant examinee if his/her application, and shall make specific recommendations in writing, whether the contentions of the applicant has any merit and thereby justifies re-assessment or the contentions are baseless and deserves to be rejected. The considered decision of the Redressal Committee shall be final and binding.

    UNFAIR MEANS ADOPTED DURING EXAMINATIONS :

    THE QUANTUM OF PUNISHMENT SHALL VARY FROM ANNULMENT OF THE PERFORMANCE OF THE STUDENT DURING EXAMS IN FULL, (ANNUAL THEORY & PRACTICALS) TO DEBARRING THE STUDENTS FROM APPEARING IN ANY FUTURE EXAMS.

    THE MINIMUM PUNISHMENT, THEREFORE, IS CANCELLATION OF THE ENTIRE EXAMINATION
