Youth in water Conservation for Energy Conservation is a sub-regional project, conducted as part of the SARI/Energy Small Grants Programme, supported by USAID and managed by Winrock International India. The project was facilitated by two South Asia Youth Environment Network (SAYEN) National Focal Points (NFPs), Centre for Environment Education (CEE) and Sri Lanka Environment Exploration Society (SLEES) in India and Sri Lanka respectively.

The unique feature of this project is that unlike all other energy and water conservation projects, this deals with the relationship/linkage between the two issues with youth as their mainstay.

Our students documented 'Rain Water Harvesting' methods used by Asian Paints, BEST Depot, TISS, Asahi (I) Float & Rambhau Mhalgi Pratishthan. Of these, the first three study cases and their findings have been published in SAYEN report.

Article by Dr. Suniti Nagpurkar (HOD, Economics) published in University News, Volume 44, issue no. 12 , March 20-26, 2006.
Title - "Towards Sustainable Development" - Suniti Nagpurkar, page no. 183 - 188.
